Miho Nobuzane – jazz pianist | keyboardist | composer | vocalist
Born in Osaka, Japan, Miho Nobuzane began studying piano at the age of four. Initially trained
in classical music, her passion for jazz and Brazilian jazz soon shaped her unique musical voice.
After moving to New York City, Miho became a prominent figure in the Brazilian jazz scene
while diversifying into multiple genres. She has collaborated with legendary artists including
Bernard Purdie, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Bakithi Kumalo, Filo Machado, and Paula
Lima. Miho has performed at iconic venues such as Blue Note NY, Iridium NY, Long Beach Jazz
Festival, and internationally in Brazil, St. Lucia, Martinique, Jamaica, U.A.E, Hawaii, and Japan.
Miho was featured on the Yomiuri TV documentary program, “Gutto Chikyu Bin”.
Her two albums, Make You Happy and Simple Words ~ Jazz Loves Brazil, showcase her talents
as a composer and performer with global radio play. In 2024, her track "Ponteio" appeared on the
British label Z Records' compilation Jazz Dance Fusion 4, and Miho’s work was prominently
featured in the Oxford University Press book SamBop NYC: Brazilian Jazz in New York City
during the New Millennium by Marc Gidal. That same year, she toured Japan with Bernard
Purdie, performing eight sold-out shows at Billboard-Live venues to standing ovations.
